A More Flexible Way to Manage Job Approvals

Kinobi AI product updates, job approval creation

Getting a job live shouldn’t mean choosing between speed and oversight. When approvals happen informally — a quick message, a verbal sign-off, an email someone might miss — jobs can go live without the right eyes on them, or get stuck waiting on one person who’s unavailable. Admins need a way to make sure every job is reviewed by the right people, every time, without the process becoming a bottleneck.

The problem: Without a structured approval process, admins have no reliable way to enforce who needs to review a job before it’s published, what order that review should happen in, or who can step in when the usual approver isn’t available — leaving job quality control inconsistent and hard to track.

Introducing Job Approval Creation

Job Approval Creation gives admins a structured way to review jobs before they go live, with flexible approval levels, approver assignment methods, and approval ownership controls.

  • Configurable approval processes — Set up distinct approval processes for different job categories, including Internship Programme and Non-Internship Programme jobs. Non-Internship Programme jobs can be configured further by employment type, such as Full Time, Part Time, Contract, and other available job types.
  • Multi-level approval — Build a sequential, multi-level review flow so jobs pass through every required step before publishing.
  • Flexible approver assignment — Assign approvers per level in the way that fits your team: pick a specific administrator, assign based on shared profile criteria, or use Variable Matching to match admin profile details against job details automatically.
  • Approval override — Enable Approval Override and designate an Admin Group that can approve requests at any level, so the process doesn’t stall when flexibility is needed.
  • Approval ownership — Control who can modify an approval process with Limit Process Edit Permission, assigning edit access to specific admins or by criteria, while the process creator always keeps edit access.

Why it matters

A clear, enforced approval process means jobs are reviewed consistently before they reach candidates — protecting job quality and employer brand, giving admins confidence in what gets published, and removing the guesswork and back-and-forth that come with informal sign-offs. Teams get a review process that scales with how they’re organised, not one they have to work around.
